20th Anniversary of the Thai-French Innovation Institute

The Thai-French Innovation Institute has been initiated 20 years ago by the King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok in collaboration with the French Federation of Mechanical Engineering Industries, France DIDAC and thirteen French companies among them SAF (now Air Liquide Welding).

The Thai-French Innovation Institute provides Research, Training, Consultancy and Testing services to the industry and to the teachers and students of universities and technical colleges in Thailand and South-East Asia.

The Welding Technology Department has been supplied with manual and automatic equipments from SAF. OXYTOME CTF, EXTER Plasma microprocessor welding, NERTABLOC 260TH etc… Those equipment are used for teaching and training students in the university and people from the industrial companies in Thailand or Southeast Asia. Institut de Soudage (IS) supports the welding technology and the training to the staff. For the 20th anniversary, Air Liquide Welding Thailand has installed the new automatic cutting machine OXYTOME 30 HPC and retro-fitted OXYTOME CTF with PLASMAJET 4 .

The welding department can be considered as the showroom for the equipments and technologies of Air Liquide Welding as well as a training centre.
